Carbon dioxide recovery commences.

MME announces partnership with St. Louis based CeeKay Supply for the recovery of CO2.  A 200 ton/day plant will be relocated to MME with an anticipated start date of June 2020.

Mid-Missouri Enhanced urea system installed.

Mid-Missouri Energy expands existing corn oil storage capacity.

Mid-Missouri Energy installs a fourth sieve bottle to increase dehydration capacity.

Mid-Missouri Energy installs 1 MW steam turbine. This project will utilize unused energy to generate 25% of MME’s required electrical needs.

Mid-Missouri Energy installs a supplemental air cooled chiller to provide additional cooling capacity to fermentation in summer months.

Carbon Dioxide recovery ceases.

Mid-Missouri Energy completes the addition of a 2nd slurry tank. This added capacity in our cook system will reduce enzyme costs and improve starch conversion.

Mid-Missouri Energy installs a 3rd hammer mill to provide for enhanced corn milling and added capacity.

Mid-Missouri Energy receives approval for EPA’s Efficient Producer Petition Process (EP3). This demonstrates a 20% reduction in carbon emissions compared to gasoline, while enabling RIN generation to occur at elevated production levels.
 
May 2014
Mid-Missouri Energy completes upgrades to our ethanol dehydration system. This includes improvements to our sieve bottles and the addition of a heat exchanger to reduce energy use and improve efficiencies.
 
September 2013
Mid-Missouri Energy begins producing corn oil as a new co-product from our process. This will be sold into the feed and biodiesel markets.

Mid-Missouri Energy commissions new Ethanol Recovery System, which is designed to improve ethanol yield.

Mid-Missouri Energy added  730,000 bushel new steel grain storage completed in time for harvest.

Mid-Missouri Energy completes expansion of the water treatment building.

Mid-Missouri Energy completed construction of a new fermentation tank. This 730,000 gallon fermenter is similar to the original 3, and will enable higher efficiencies and production.

Mid-Missouri Energy modifies our existing air permit to allow annual ethanol production to reach 60 million gallons.

Mid-Missouri Energy changed corn buying policy to allow purchasing corn from all producers.

Mid-Missouri Energy had the distinction of participating in Harvard Business School Case Study for the third time since starting production of ethanol.

Mid-Missouri Energy completed their planned conversion from a cooperative to a limited liability corporation.

Mid-Missouri Energy collaborates with EPCO Products in the recovery of carbon dioxide. The plant constructed adjacent to MME is designed to produce 250 tons per day of food and beverage grade CO2. As of 2014, Air Products operates the CO2 facility.

Mid-Missouri Energy announces a 5 to 1stock split.

Mid-Missouri Energy grinds corn and begins ethanol production.
 
December 2003
Mid-Missouri Energy closes financing on its 100% farmer-owned ethanol plant in Saline County, Missouri, with excess of $22 million equity.
 
October 2003
Mid-Missouri Energy celebrates their Groundbreaking Ceremony for the 40 million gallon per year corn processing ethanol plant one mile west of Malta Bend, Missouri on U.S. Highway 65.
 
February  2003
Mid-Missouri Energy begins their equity funding drive. A series of 62 public meetings are scheduled to explain the project, including Offering information for interested investors, over a six week period and a 70-mile radius of the four core counties: Carroll, Chariton, Lafayette and Saline. Surpassing their goal of $12 million, the equity drive was extended. Closing in June with equity raised in excess of $22 million.

The Farmers Steering Committee for Ethanol merges with Mid-Missouri Energy, Inc., a new generation cooperative corporate structure.

The Farmer Steering Committee for Ethanol began efforts to determine any competitive advantage for a West Central Missouri ethanol plant.
