Grain Discount Schedule

Grain Discount Schedule

Effective 1 August 2012
Each Load Stands Alone - No Averaging

Moisture: Moisture affects ability of hammermill to efficiently break up corn prior to processing, reducing efficiency. No shrink or drying charges will be taken. 15% moisture--no discount with maximum of 17% moisture. MME is not a drying facility, therefore corn over 16% will be accepted or rejected at buyer’s sole discretion. Discount will be $0.01 each tenth of one point over 15% (10 cents per full point of moisture).

Test Weight: Test Weight reflects volume of starch needed to produce an equivalent amount of ethanol. Lower TW requires more corn to produce equivalent amount of ethanol. 54# test weight no discount.

  • Discount will be $0.01 under 54# TW to 52# TW
  • Discount will be $0.04 under 52# TW to 50# TW
  • Discount will be $0.08 under 50# TW to 48# TW
